The mother of Jim Carrey 's on/off girlfriend Cathriona White has led a family tribute to her daughter, after she tragically died.
The Irish beauty was found dead at her Los Angeles, California home on Monday night, after two pals arrived at the property to check on her.
Now her mother has spoken of her heartbreak, in an email obtained by Mail Online where she asks a friend: "My Cathriona is dead. My Cathriona is dead.
A statement released to Independent.ie from Cathriona's family read: "The family of Cathriona White sincerely regret the untimely passing of their beloved daughter and sister.
"Cathriona was a shining light in our lives who was loved deeply by her entire family.
"We will miss her terribly and at this difficult time we ask to be left in private to mourn our loss."
Jim Carrey also paid tribute to his on/off girlfriend after she was found dead.
In a statement, the heartbroken actor said: "I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona.
"She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled.
"My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We

The Hollywood star's Irish born partner, 28, tragically tweeted on September 25 before allegedly taking her own life.
She wrote on the social media site: "Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest. love to you all."
Los Angeles Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter, told Independent.ie of her death: "Ms White was found at 8.40pm local time on Monday, September 28, at her home in Sherman Oaks.
"The final cause of death has not been confirmed, pending an autopsy.”
