Shocked! how a man was hit by a parked car (PHOTOS)

A man has been seriously injured after being crushed under a stationary car when a bus sent it catapulting into him.

The horror accident was caught on CCTV and shows the suited man walking past a silver Vauxhall Astra just as a bus tries to navigate its way through traffic in the busy street.

Suddenly, the bus jolts forward and into the parked car sending it hurtling towards the unsuspecting passer-by who is then thrown into iron railings .

The bus driver can then be seen desperately in vain trying to reverse the vehicle off the car.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Covelees Road, Beckton, on Saturday at 1pm.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to Covelees Road at 1pm on Saturday 27 September to reports of a road traffic collision.

"A bus was in collision with stationary parked car which then collided with a pedestrian on the pavement.

"A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"He is in a stable condition."
